To help train successful teachers, The Suzuki Association of the Americans (SAA) has set up a program to study Suzuki philosophy and pedagogy. Unit 1 consists of 28 hours of pedagogy and 15 hours of observation of student lessons. This course contains a thorough study of the entire repertoire and techniques contained in Book 1 of the Suzuki Method. The fee for this course is $700.00.
Participants in the Book 1 course are required to read Nurtured by Love (Suzuki), They're Rarely Too Old and Never Too Young TO TWINKLE (Slone) before the course begins. Books may be obtained from the instructor months before the class begins.
All participants will be performing Book 1 in class by memory.

This course covers the basic philosophy underlying the Suzuki method and the methods of working with preschool children and their parents.
Required for all new Suzuki Teachers before Book 1. The fee for this course is $100.
SAA REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants may register as Participants or Auditors. Tuition fees are the same for both. Only participants may register courses with the SAA. All class sessions must be attended and observation requirements must be met. Attendance is required 100% of class time in order to register a course with the SAA.
To qualify as a Participant, you must submit a videotape along with an application form and fee to the SAA office at least 8 weeks prior to the training. If submitted later than 8 weeks before the course start date, audition results determining participant eligibility may NOT be available prior to the course.
