Started playing violin in 2nd grade at Parker Elementary in Houston, Texas, during the 1970's when the Suzuki Method was being introduced in America. Began training in viola in the 4th grade and decided to make the viola my principle instrument. Performed with orchestras throughout elementary, middle, high school and college.Goals:
- 1990-1991 Awarded scholarship and attended the Moore's School of Music at the University of Houston.
- May 2001 Graduate of University of Houston, Bachelors Degree in Psychology
- 2002-2004 Began Teacher Training Apprenticeship at the Suzuki School of Houston
- Pass on what I have learned about the Suzuki method
- Create a caring and gentle atmosphere for learning
- Participate in this great evolution in music education
